I'm a big star (2026)

Returning to the brush after several years of dripping and pouring paint onto her canvas, this body of work has a more intimate feel as it emphasises gesture and touch while using the artist's wife as her muse.

 

Incorporating text on the canvas, such as 'power, 'moon, 'I'm a star but want to be the moon' and 'I'm a big star!', these works give agency to the female/femme body but in contradiction to the Western male gaze, a body not separated from the mind.
